The School of Visual Arts (SVA) is a private art and design college located in New York City, founded in 1947. Originally established as the Cartoonists and Illustrators School, it was renamed in 1956 to reflect a broader artistic mission. Recognized for its leadership in creative higher education, SVA offers a variety of academic programs, including Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Master of Fine Arts (MFA), and Master of Arts (MA) degrees.
