Parkinson's Foundation

Overview

The Parkinson's Foundation is a national nonprofit organization focused on improving the lives of individuals with Parkinson's disease (PD). Formed in 2016 from the merger of two historic organizations, it has over 60 years of experience in advancing care standards and funding research aimed at finding a cure. Headquartered in Miami and New York City, the Foundation operates 18 chapters across the United States and has established a network of 51 Centers of Excellence that provide specialized care to over 196,000 patients globally.

The Foundation offers a variety of services, including educational resources for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers, as well as community events like Moving Day fundraising walks. It also runs initiatives to address health disparities among underserved populations. Through programs like PD GENEration, which provides free genetic testing, and partnerships to accelerate biotech treatments, the Foundation is committed to funding innovative research and uniting experts to tackle the challenges of Parkinson's disease.
