Overview

EnergySec, or the Energy Sector Security Consortium, Inc., is a non-profit organization based in the United States. It focuses on enhancing cybersecurity for critical energy infrastructures, especially within the electric sector. Founded to support energy organizations, it collaborates with a diverse range of stakeholders including utilities, industry vendors, government agencies, and academic institutions.

The organization operates across several key areas: fostering community collaboration, developing cybersecurity skills tailored to the energy sector, providing professional education through training programs and events, facilitating information sharing and analysis, and offering specialized services such as a shared analyst program. Its membership includes around 160 electric utilities in 25 states, as well as vendors, educational institutions, and regulatory bodies.
