Overview

An Indian fintech company founded in 2018 by Ashneer Grover and Shashvat Nakrani, BharatPe focuses on enhancing financial inclusion for small merchants and grocery store owners throughout India. It delivers a wide range of digital payment and financial services crafted to meet the unique requirements of these merchants.

BharatPe offers an interoperable UPI QR code solution for seamless digital payments with zero transaction fees, alongside India's pioneering zero MDR payment acceptance service. Its BharatSwipe terminals provide zero MDR card acceptance. In addition, the company facilitates merchant cash advances, secured loans such as two-wheeler loans and Loans Against Mutual Funds, and offers PostPe, India's first Buy Now Pay Later service. BharatPe serves over 10 million merchants in more than 300 cities, processing around 80 million UPI transactions monthly. By August 2021, it had raised approximately $700.2 million in funding and achieved a valuation of $2.85 billion.
