Apollo Education Group, Inc. is a for-profit education company founded in 1973 by John Sperling and John D. Murphy. The company was a significant provider of post-secondary education services, serving 477,000 students at its peak in 2010 and generating annual revenues of $4.9 billion.

The organization expanded internationally through strategic ventures, including a joint venture with Carlyle Group in 2008, which formed Apollo Global. This entity focused on international acquisitions, purchasing educational institutions in Mexico and Chile, and later rebranding as Vanta Education. The company also acquired BPP, a UK-based provider of professional and academic education, among other international holdings.
