Officially known as the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd., this organization stands as the world's largest dairy cooperative, founded in 1946 in Anand, Gujarat. It was established to empower farmers and eliminate intermediaries from the dairy supply chain, managing milk from nearly 3.6 million producers spanning 18 district unions and 18,000 societies. With a turnover exceeding ₹72,000 crore (approximately US$9 billion) as of 2023, it has transformed the dairy landscape in India.

The cooperative offers an extensive portfolio of milk and milk products, such as fresh milk, milk powder, butter, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, and traditional sweets. Renowned for its innovation, including commercial-scale buffalo milk cheese and probiotic ice cream, the organization has achieved significant milestones. It reported a projected turnover of ₹80,000 crore for 2023-24 and aims for ₹1 lakh crore by 2025. Its contributions to the dairy industry have earned numerous awards, and its international presence continues to expand through exports.
