Overview

The World Food Programme (WFP) is the largest humanitarian organization focused on providing food assistance globally. Established in 1961 and based in Rome, Italy, WFP operates in over 120 countries, supporting more than 152 million people each year. As a United Nations agency, it addresses hunger and food insecurity caused by conflicts, natural disasters, and climate change.
