Overview

Vancouver Airport Authority is a not-for-profit organization responsible for managing Vancouver International Airport (YVR), a leading international gateway in British Columbia, Canada. Since its establishment in 1992, the authority has reinvested all earnings into airport development and infrastructure, guided by a community-based board of directors. YVR encompasses around 1,340 hectares and operates as a major trans-Pacific hub, offering more direct flights to China than any other airport in North America or Europe.

The airport features three runways, a main terminal with a Domestic Concourse, and a South Terminal supporting regional flights and charters. Focused on sustainability, strong community relationships, and environmental stewardship, YVR is recognized for its award-winning architecture and wildlife management initiatives. The Flight Plan 2037 strategy will enable YVR to accommodate 35 million annual passengers through ongoing terminal expansion and facility enhancements.
