The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB) is a private Christian university situated in Belton, Texas. Established in 1845, UMHB is recognized as the oldest continuously operating college in Texas. Originally founded as the female department of Baylor University, the institution became independent in 1866 and transitioned to a coeducational university in 1971.

The university achieved university status in 1978 and now offers a broad range of undergraduate and graduate programs spanning education, nursing, business, arts, and more.
