UMass Memorial Medical Center is a leading healthcare system in Central Massachusetts, established in 1998 through the merger of Memorial Hospital and the University of Massachusetts clinical system. It serves as the principal teaching hospital for the University of Massachusetts Medical School and is the region's largest healthcare provider, supporting over 1,000 hospital beds and generating annual revenue of approximately $2.5 billion.
