Overview

Founded in 1985 in Beaverton, Oregon, TriQuint Semiconductor established itself as a prominent provider of high-performance radio frequency (RF) modules, components, and foundry services. Originating as a spinoff from Tektronix, the company later relocated its headquarters to Hillsboro, Oregon, and specialized in technologies such as surface acoustic wave (SAW), bulk acoustic wave (BAW) filters, and advanced foundry services using gallium arsenide (GaAs) and gallium nitride (GaN). Its products were integral to wireless communications, broadband, and military systems.

In 2014, TriQuint merged with RF Micro Devices (RFMD), creating Qorvo, Inc. This merger combined their strengths to deliver a wide array of RF solutions across automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics sectors. The company's legacy includes contributions to global advances in semiconductor design and performance, along with strong client relationships in the communications and defense industries.
