Overview

The University of Queensland (UQ) is a prominent public research university located in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Established in 1909, it is the oldest university in the state and part of Australia's six sandstone universities, known for their academic excellence. UQ began its educational journey in 1911 with three faculties and has since expanded significantly, including a merger with the Queensland Agricultural College in 1990.
