The New York Foundling

Overview

The New York Foundling is a nonprofit child welfare organization established in 1869 by the Sisters of Charity. Initially created to rescue abandoned infants, it has grown into a comprehensive provider of community support services for children, youth, adults, and families in need. The organization serves over 30,000 individuals annually across New York, emphasizing its mission of "Abandon No One."
