Overview

Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) is a publicly elected water district in Texas, established in 1924 to address flood prevention and water supply needs following severe flooding in Fort Worth. It serves over 2.1 million people across 11 North Texas counties by providing raw water to wholesale customers who treat and distribute it.

TRWD's core missions include water supply, flood control, recreation, and conservation.
