SES Satellites, officially known as SES S.A., is a prominent global satellite operator based in Betzdorf, Luxembourg. Founded in 1985, it was the first private satellite operator in Europe, supported by the Luxembourg government. SES operates one of the largest fleets of geostationary and medium Earth orbit satellites, with over 70 satellites providing data transmission and broadcasting services worldwide.

The company offers a wide range of satellite communication services, including Direct-to-Home (DTH) broadcasting, content distribution for cable and digital terrestrial networks, broadband internet access, mobile backhaul for network operators, and hosted payload services. Its satellite fleet includes the Astra series serving Europe and O3b MEO satellites, which provide low-latency internet connectivity to underserved regions.
