Overview
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) is a humanitarian governmental organization in Saudi Arabia, established in 1934. Initially known as the Saudi Red Crescent Association, it was renamed in 2008. SRCA provides urgent emergency medical services across the Kingdom, operating in five administrative regions to serve both citizens and residents during normal conditions and disasters.
The Authority manages over 505 ambulance centers and more than 1,400 ambulances, delivering hundreds of thousands of services annually. It also operates the Saudi Air Ambulance service, utilizing helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft for efficient emergency transport. SRCA's core services include first aid and medical assistance for accident victims, health support for pilgrims during Hajj, and medical operations for military personnel. SRCA's mission focuses on alleviating human suffering and contributing to relief efforts both domestically and internationally. It plays a vital role in raising public health awareness and is dedicated to serving a diverse customer base, including the general public, military personnel, and disaster victims throughout Saudi Arabia.
