Overview
This Nigerian-led energy consortium is based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State and brings together four indigenous oil companies—ND Western Limited, Aradel Holdings, FIRST Exploration and Petroleum Development Company Limited, and Waltersmith Group—with the international firm Petroni. The organization is dedicated to addressing Africa's energy deficit with a strong focus on improving access to electricity and clean energy.
With a mission to lead energy security and drive industrialization across Africa, the organization tackles the challenges of energy access for millions. Its activities include oil and gas exploration, production, and export, underscored by a recent $2.4 billion acquisition of assets from Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria. Over the next five years, a planned $15 billion investment will implement 32 projects in the Niger Delta to enhance gas export capacity and double output. The consortium also supports local content development and stakeholder collaboration, working with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board to promote indigenous participation in the sector.
