Overview

This nonprofit pediatric care facility with 511 beds is dedicated to delivering comprehensive healthcare services to children and adolescents. As the largest children's hospital on the West Coast, it is recognized among the nation's top pediatric health care systems and was named one of the 10 best children's hospitals by U.S. News and World Report in 2023. It is the only facility in the San Diego area focused exclusively on pediatric care, serving as the region's only Level I pediatric trauma center.

Established in 1954, the hospital has treated nearly 2 million children and now cares for approximately 250,000 young patients annually from a diverse range of regions.
