Overview

PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, is a statutory board under the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment. Established in 1963, PUB manages the entire water supply chain in Singapore, including water catchment, supply, used water treatment, drainage, flood protection, and coastal defense. The agency focuses on ensuring a sustainable water supply through its Four National Taps: local catchment water, imported water, NEWater (reclaimed water), and desalinated water.

The agency oversees extensive water infrastructure, operating five NEWater plants and three desalination plants that supply a significant portion of the nation's water needs. PUB develops flood and drainage management strategies and promotes waterway sustainability through the Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters Programme. It also encourages public engagement in water conservation, providing tools and grants to foster efficient water usage among households and industries.
