Overview

Northwest Independent School District (Northwest ISD) is a public school district situated in the northwestern corridor of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in North Texas. Serving 14 cities and communities across 234 square miles in Denton, Tarrant, and Wise Counties, the district is headquartered in Fort Worth. As of the 2023-2024 school year, Northwest ISD educates 30,629 students on 35 campuses, representing the fastest-growing school district in North Texas.

With a strong commitment to academic excellence and a four-year graduation rate of 95.6%, the district offers a diverse range of educational opportunities. These include state-leading Career and Technical Education academies, comprehensive fine arts programs, and a significant focus on literacy.
