Overview

North Mississippi Medical Center (NMMC) is a nonprofit regional healthcare system based in Tupelo, Mississippi. Established in 1937, it has grown to become the largest private hospital in Mississippi and the largest rural hospital in the United States, featuring 650 beds and employing over 3,000 staff members. NMMC serves as the flagship hospital of the North Mississippi Health Services system, which includes multiple community hospitals and clinics across a 24-county region in northern Mississippi and parts of Alabama and Tennessee.

NMMC offers a wide range of healthcare services, including acute care, surgical services, trauma care, behavioral health, and wellness programs. The hospital is designated as a Level II trauma center and provides comprehensive trauma services.
