Overview

The New York State Education Department (NYSED) is the administrative agency of the Board of Regents, responsible for overseeing public elementary and secondary education programs throughout New York State. Its mission is to enhance the knowledge, skills, and opportunities of all New Yorkers, aiming to lead in educational excellence and equity.
