Overview

Mustansiriyah University is a public university located in Baghdad, Iraq, with a history dating back to 1227, when the original Mustansiriyah Madrasah was established. The modern university was founded in 1963 and has become one of Iraq's leading higher education institutions. It consists of 13 colleges offering a wide range of academic disciplines, including Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Humanities, Business, Law, and Engineering.

The university provides both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, supported by several research centers, including three specializing in medical research. Its educational commitment is rooted in a historical legacy that originally blended Islamic jurisprudence with various academic fields.
