Little City

Overview

Little City Foundation is a nonprofit organization located in Palatine, Illinois, dedicated to empowering children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). It provides a range of holistic services aimed at promoting independence, community integration, and skill development. Established by parents advocating for community-based care, it serves nearly 1,000 individuals and around 1,400 families in the Chicagoland area.

The foundation offers over ten person-centered programs, including employment services, community day services, and a therapeutic day school. Its facilities include the Dorothy Rose Horticulture Center and the Duffey Family Children’s Village, which provides residential support for children. Additionally, it emphasizes health and wellness through medical, behavioral, and dietary services, while fostering community engagement and relying on support from donors and partners to fulfill its mission of creating hope and changing lives for those with IDD.
