Established in 2001 as a response to the needs of Long Island's older adults, this not-for-profit, full service Life Plan Retirement Community is sponsored by Mather Health System. The community benefits from a long-standing partnership with one of Long Island's most trusted health care organizations and is supported by local leaders dedicated to offering retirement options and progressive health care services in a secure, active environment.

The mission is to serve older adults by offering an active lifestyle and all-inclusive lifecare. Dignity, privacy, individuality, and independence are promoted for each resident, with attentive staff focusing on service, security, and peace of mind. The vision is to foster personal fulfillment, caring relationships, and a positive aging experience, upheld by a culture of dignity, compassion, integrity, and competence.
