Overview

HANYS, the Healthcare Association of New York State, is the only statewide organization representing over 500 nonprofit and public healthcare providers, including hospitals, nursing homes, and home care agencies. Founded in 1925, the association is dedicated to advancing the health of individuals and communities in New York. It is headquartered in Rensselaer, NY, with additional offices in Albany and Washington, D.C.

The organization advocates for its members at various levels of government, focusing on protecting Medicare and Medicaid funding while promoting affordable, high-quality care. HANYS offers a range of services, including education and training programs, data analytics, quality improvement resources, and networking opportunities.
