Overview

Focus Corporation was a Canadian project delivery company specialized in engineering and geomatics services for the energy, infrastructure, and land development sectors. Founded in 1977 as HDS Focus Surveys Ltd., it was renamed The Focus Corporation Ltd. in 1999. The company primarily operated in Western Canada and served various industries, including oil and gas, land development, and government.

With approximately 1,500 employees and 22 locations in cities such as Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver, the company was recognized multiple times as one of Alberta’s top employers and fastest-growing companies. Services included project delivery, engineering consulting, land surveying, and mapping. On January 1, 2015, Focus Corporation merged with WSP Canada Inc., ceasing to exist as an independent entity.
