Established in 1958 as Tampa Central Credit Union, this organization initially served other credit unions in Tampa due to regulatory requirements for board members and managers. Soon after, it expanded to Orlando and adopted its current name, reflecting its growing reach in Florida.

Over the years, the credit union has grown significantly, now serving more than 50,000 members and over 1,000 SEGs across 12 branches in west-central Florida.
