Essex County College (ECC) is a public, two-year community college located in Newark, New Jersey. Established in 1966, ECC aims to provide affordable higher education to residents of Essex County. The college operates as a space-grant institution with its main campus in the University Heights district and an additional campus in West Essex. It has been accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education since 1974.
