Overview

Digital Dubai, officially known as the Dubai Digital Authority, is a government entity established to comprehensively digitalize life in Dubai. Founded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the authority aims to transform the city into a global digital capital by modernizing information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and promoting data-driven governance.

The organization consolidates several key entities, including the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment and the Dubai Digital Government Establishment. It leads initiatives in digital transformation, cybersecurity, and smart city development. One of its flagship offerings is DubaiNow, a smart app that provides over 55 government services in a user-friendly format, supporting the city's goal of eliminating paper use. The authority also provides a secure national digital identity platform, a city data platform, and resources for data-sharing initiatives. Its efforts align with the Smart Dubai plan to position the city as a leader in the digital economy by focusing on accessible digital services and enhancing customer satisfaction.
