Overview

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics (DHMC) is New Hampshire's only academic medical center, situated on a 225-acre campus in Lebanon. As a major tertiary-care referral hospital for northern New England, DHMC features 507 inpatient beds and employs over 8,000 staff members. The institution is recognized as the state's only Level I Trauma Center and operates New Hampshire's sole air ambulance service.

Established in 1893, DHMC has grown from a small rural hospital to a comprehensive academic Medical Center, affiliated with Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine and other prestigious institutions.
