Cooper University Health Care is the leading academic health system in South Jersey, established in 1887 in Camden, New Jersey. Originally a 30-bed hospital, it has grown into a comprehensive provider of primary, specialty, tertiary, and urgent care, employing thousands to deliver a wide range of medical services and handling approximately 1.2 million outpatient visits annually. The system now includes three hospitals, with its main hospital serving as the only Level I Trauma Center in the region.
