Claremont McKenna College (CMC) is a private liberal arts undergraduate college located in Claremont, California. Founded in 1946, CMC emphasizes leadership preparation through a curriculum that combines liberal arts with economics, government, and public affairs. The college became coeducational in 1976 and was renamed in 1981 to honor founding trustee Donald C. McKenna.
