Overview

Centers for Independence (CFI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities by providing a wide range of disability support services, employment assistance, health care, and mental health treatment. With a history of 85 years, the organization operates through four key affiliates and focuses on empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and fully participate in their communities.

CFI offers comprehensive programs including behavioral health services, children’s programs, employment assistance, and home care. Its clinical services encompass outpatient support, crisis resource centers, and case management. In addition, CFI provides medical day care and in-home care for children with developmental challenges, and job support for individuals facing employment barriers. Through these initiatives, CFI promotes self-determination and inclusive community engagement for people of all abilities.
