Overview

Care New England is a non-profit, integrated healthcare organization and the second-largest hospital system in Rhode Island. Established in 1996 through the merger of Butler Hospital, Kent Hospital, and Women & Infants Hospital, it is based in Providence and serves the southeastern New England community. Operating as a tax-exempt healthcare delivery system, it is also a teaching affiliate of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

The organization includes seven operating units and offers diverse healthcare services such as primary care, surgery, oncology, psychiatry, and women's health, all with a patient-centered approach.
