Overview

Berklee College of Music is a leading institution in contemporary music and performing arts education, founded in 1945 by Lawrence Berk. Originally known as Schillinger House, it focused on jazz and popular music and has grown into a global leader in music education. In 2016, Berklee merged with Boston Conservatory, enhancing its offerings by integrating music, dance, and theater education.
