Overview

Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) is a public research university in Israel, established in 1969 and named after the country's first Prime Minister in 1973. With a mission to promote development in the Negev desert region, BGU operates five campuses and serves around 18,000 to 20,000 students, including both undergraduates and postgraduates.
