Türk Ekonomi Bankası (TEB) is one of Turkey's oldest financial institutions, established in 1927. Initially founded as Kocaeli Halk Bankası T.A.Ş., it adopted its current name in 1982 following acquisition by the Çolakoğlu Group and relocation of its headquarters to Istanbul. The bank provides a wide spectrum of banking and financial services, ranging from corporate, SME, and commercial banking to retail and investment banking.
As a pioneer in SME banking in Turkey, TEB launched its SME division in 2005. Additional services include treasury, capital markets, leasing, factoring, and portfolio management through subsidiaries. The bank champions digital innovation, notably launching its mobile banking platform in 2008. Its strategic partnership with BNP Paribas has strengthened its market presence and service capabilities. Serving individual clients, SMEs, and large corporations, TEB is recognized for innovation and customer service, particularly within the SME banking sector.
