Overview

Shija Hospitals And Research Institute Pvt. Ltd. is a pioneer private health care centre in Manipur, providing advanced health care under the motto of "World class healthcare at the doorstep at an affordable cost". With the support of people from Manipur and neighbouring states, the institute has made significant strides in introducing highly needed medical technology and expertise to the region.

Established in June 1985 as a consultation chamber with a minor operation facility, Shija Hospitals began at Paona Bazar, Imphal, aiming to deliver basic health care services. It relocated to RIMS Road in 1988, expanding to major operation facilities with 9 beds. In April 1996, laparoscopic (key-hole) surgery equipment was installed for the first time in Manipur, marking a milestone in the institute’s advancement.
