Also known as the Inner City Education Foundation, this not-for-profit organization was established in 1999 and is dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for children in underserved and low-income communities in Los Angeles. As a charter school management organization, it operates several schools serving between 2,500 and 4,000 students from transitional kindergarten through 12th grade, with a significant portion of the student body being African-American and Hispanic.

The mission is to prepare students for success at top colleges and universities by fostering academic excellence and empowering them to reach their full potential. The schools offer a comprehensive K-12 education encompassing core academics, career and technical education, special education services, arts education, and athletics programs. The organization is recognized for closing the achievement gap and has a strong track record of preparing students for college, supported by high graduation rates and college-bound statistics.
