Overview

Fulton County Schools (FCS) is the fourth largest school system in Georgia, serving a diverse student population across Fulton County outside Atlanta. The district operates 102 schools, including 56 elementary schools, 19 middle schools, 19 high schools, 7 charter schools, and 1 full-time virtual school, with a projected enrollment of 86,031 students for the 2025-26 school year.

The district is committed to academic excellence and community involvement, functioning under a charter system governance model that enables schools to adapt strategies to their students' needs through School Governance Councils and School Strategic Plans. FCS offers a mix of traditional, charter, and virtual education options, along with extensive academic, athletic, and arts programs designed to support student engagement and development.
