Overview

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is the largest public community college in Nevada, established in 1971. It serves over 35,000 students each semester across three main campuses in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and Henderson, along with several satellite centers in southern Nevada.

CSN offers a wide range of educational programs, including more than 70 academic areas and over 180 degree and certificate options. The college specializes in two-year associate degrees, niche bachelor's degrees, and workforce development training. It is also the largest provider of adult basic education and literacy training in Nevada. CSN is recognized as a Minority Serving Institution and the state’s first Hispanic Serving Institution, emphasizing an inclusive environment for all students.

Accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities since 1975, CSN focuses on student-centered education with real-world applications. The college's diverse academic structure includes various schools and departments, fostering innovative teaching and active learning. CSN plays a significant role in the local economy, contributing an estimated $988 million annually.
